Description

Vignerons de Buxy is a cooperative founded in 1931 in the Côte Chalonnaise of southern Burgundy, bringing together dedicated growers committed to expressing the character of the region's vineyards. The vineyards are farmed using sustainable viticultural practices, with many growers participating in environmental initiatives to preserve biodiversity and vineyard health. Pinot Noir is grown on gently sloping sites with predominantly limestone and clay soils, where the cool Burgundian climate encourages slow ripening, producing wines of freshness, elegance and purity.

Vignerons de Buxy Côte Chalonnaise Pinot Noir 2023 is made from 100% Pinot Noir. Following temperature controlled fermentation, the wine is matured for approximately 10 months, primarily in stainless steel with a proportion aged in French oak to enhance complexity while preserving the fruit's freshness. It displays expressive aromas of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, complemented by subtle notes of violet, gentle spice and a hint of forest floor. The palate is silky and well balanced with fine tannins and bright acidity, making it an excellent partner for roast poultry, grilled pork, duck, mushroom dishes and soft ripened cheeses.
