Shaw + Smith M3 Chardonnay 2023 Half Bottle

Shaw + Smith is a pioneering family-owned winery in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, founded in 1989. Known for its focus on cool-climate wines, the estate combines meticulous vineyard management with respect for the natural environment. The M3 Chardonnay comes from vineyards planted on brown loams over clay with broken shale and quartzite, which provide excellent drainage and mineral complexity.

The M3 Chardonnay 2023 is made from 100% Chardonnay, hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed to retain purity. Fermentation takes place in French oak barriques and puncheons using indigenous yeasts, with partial malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged on lees for approximately nine months before bottling, producing a medium to full-bodied style with vibrant acidity. Aromas and flavours of citrus, stone fruit and subtle oak are complemented by a refined, textural palate, making it ideal with seafood, poultry or creamy cheeses. Serve chilled at 10–12°C.
