Ruinart Blanc De Blanc NV
produced by the historic Maison Ruinart in Reims, Champagne, the oldest established Champagne house founded in 1729. The house is renowned for its elegant Chardonnay driven style and long association with the chalk rich terroirs of the Champagne region. Grapes are sourced primarily from premier cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims, alongside selected sites in the Vallée de la Marne and Sézannais. The cool continental climate and distinctive chalk and limestone soils provide excellent drainage, freshness and mineral precision.
This non vintage cuvée is made from 100% Chardonnay, blending fruit from multiple vintages to maintain the house style and consistency. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle and extended ageing on lees for several years before disgorgement. The wine shows delicate aromas of citrus, white peach and pear alongside white flowers, brioche and subtle almond notes. The palate is fresh, creamy and refined with fine persistent mousse, vibrant acidity and a long chalky finish. It pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, sushi, soft cheeses and light seafood dishes.
