Produced by Ruinart in Reims, in the heart of France’s Champagne region, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs NV is the maison’s signature cuvée and a benchmark expression of Chardonnay in Champagne. Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne house and is renowned for its refined, luminous style focused on purity and elegance. The Chardonnay is sourced from a broad selection of vineyards across Champagne, with a strong emphasis on the Côte des Blancs and other chalk-rich terroirs that bring freshness, finesse and aromatic precision. A portion of reserve wines is incorporated to maintain consistency and the house style across vintages.
Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine is blended from multiple harvests before undergoing traditional bottle fermentation and extended ageing on the lees in the maison’s historic chalk cellars. This maturation enhances texture and complexity while preserving clarity and freshness. The wine shows refined aromas of citrus blossom, lemon zest and white peach alongside notes of green apple, white flowers and a subtle touch of brioche and almond. The palate is silky and finely structured with a delicate, persistent mousse, vibrant acidity and a long, elegant mineral finish.
