Pizzorno Primo 2020

This iconic wine from the Pizzorno Winery is only made in extraordinary years like 2020. A blend of 50% Tannat, 27% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot, carefully hand-harvested after several passages through the vineyard. Each variety is vinified separately and aged for 12 months in new French oak from the Alliers forest. The final assemblage is then further aged for another 12 months in used French oak. A complex yet approachable wine, with a bold structure yet a refined and elegant presence. It benefits from aeration displaying a broad bouquet of wild berries, plums, cedar and spices. The perfect treat for Bordeaux lovers.
