Pepe Mendoza Casa Agricola Fierroca 2021

Based in the village of Líber, sustainability, respect and tradition are at the heart of Pepe’s approach and he is passionate about local grape varieties and winemaking techniques that have been handed down for generations ever since the time of the Romans.

"Fierroca" comes from "fierro" (iron) and "roca" (rock), referencing the particular soil of three microplots of Finca de Abargues where the Giro grapes are grown. Higher altitude creates the wine with strength and complexity showcasing Mediterranean character through nuances of rosemary, lavender and eucalyptus. Tannin backbone creates great structure that has fantastic ageing potential.
