Ojo de Dios Mezcal
Ojo de Dios Mezcal is produced region of San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca by a third-generation mezcalero family using time-honoured artisanal methods. The agave is cultivated in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, where arid climates, high altitude and mineral-rich, sandy and limestone soils shape the character of the spirit. The producer works closely with local communities, harvesting mature Espadín and Blue Weber agave sustainably to preserve biodiversity and regional tradition.
This mezcal is crafted from 100% Espadín agave, slow-roasted in underground earthen pits to impart its distinctive smoky character. After natural fermentation, it is double-distilled in copper pot stills to achieve clarity and balance. Unaged in oak, it delivers notes of fresh herbs, citrus, gentle smoke and sweet agave. It pairs beautifully with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, ceviche or dark chocolate desserts.
