Moulin du Château la Lagune originates from the historic Château la Lagune estate in Haut-Médoc, an appellation on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. The vineyards lie on gravelly soils typical of Médoc, deep gravel over clay and sand drainage which promotes drainage and structured ripening..

The 2019 Moulin du Château la Lagune is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and small amounts of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Grapes were hand-harvested, vinified traditionally and aged in French oak barrels for around 12 to 14 months, part new oak. The wine reveals aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and cedar with a touch of spice; on the palate it is medium to full-bodied, with firm tannins, a fresh acidity and a structured, mineral finish. It pairs well with grilled or roasted red meats, lamb or beef stews, game dishes and mature cheeses.
