MOB Lote 3 Branco

MOB, short for Moreira, Olazabal and Borges, is a collaboration between winemakers Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serôdio Borges, three leading figures in Portuguese wine. Their project is based in the Dão, primarily around the Serra da Estrela sub-region in northern Dão, near villages such as Seia and Gouveia. Vineyards sit at 400-550 metres altitude on granitic soils with sandy texture, providing excellent drainage and freshness. The region’s mountain influence brings warm days and cool nights, preserving acidity and aromatic precision.

M.O.B. Lote 3 Branco is a blend of Encruzado, Bical and Malvasia Fina. Encruzado forms the backbone, contributing structure, citrus and ageing potential, while Bical adds vibrant acidity and stone fruit character. Malvasia Fina enhances the aromatics with floral and delicate herbal notes. Fermented and aged for around eight months in French oak with bâtonnage, the wine shows white peach, citrus, wild herbs and mineral freshness. It pairs beautifully with grilled fish, roast chicken, creamy cheeses and shellfish.
