Description

Produced by Medici Ermete in Reggio Emilia, Lambrusco Reggiano Rosé DOC Secco reflects the innovative spirit of one of Emilia-Romagna’s most respected wine families. Founded in 1890 and now run by the fifth generation, Medici Ermete has been instrumental in redefining Lambrusco as a quality-driven wine category, combining regional tradition with modern precision. The family farms its vineyards organically across the fertile plains of Reggio Emilia, where clay-rich soils and a temperate climate provide ideal conditions for producing vibrant, aromatic wines. While deeply rooted in the traditions of the region, the rosé showcases a fresher and more contemporary side of Lambrusco, highlighting the versatility of the local grape varieties and the estate’s commitment to expressive, food-friendly wines.

Made from Lambrusco Salamino and Lambrusco Marani, the wine is produced with minimal skin contact to achieve its delicate pink hue before undergoing a secondary fermentation in tank using the Charmat method. This preserves the purity of the fruit and creates a lively, refreshing mousse. Aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant are complemented by floral notes of rose petals and hints of citrus zest. The palate is dry, crisp and energetic, with bright acidity, fine bubbles and a refreshing finish that emphasises freshness over sweetness. Light, vibrant and highly versatile, it is equally at home as an aperitif or alongside seafood, charcuterie, salads and lighter Mediterranean dishes.
