Lough Ree - The Bridge - Blackrock Cellar No.1

A collaboration between Blackrock Cellar, Lough Ree Distillery and Wide Street Brewery.

5 year old Triple Distilled Single Malt from Great Northern Distillery, finished for 2 months in the Altbier Cask. This cask was an ex-Bourbon Cask that was recharred prior to being filled with Wide Street Brewery's Altbier.

Nose: Caramel, malt, Turkish Delight/roses. A drop of water gives cantaloupe melon.

Palate: Rich Tea Biscuits, vanilla, melon, buttery toast, light oak spice.

Finish: Long with melon, Turkish Delight chocolate and light spice.
