JL Chave Circa Saint Joseph Blanc 2023

JL Chave is one of the most respected names in the Northern Rhône with a history dating back to 1481. The Chave family crafts their wines with great respect for tradition and The Circa range is produced with an emphasis on sustainable viticulture. The Saint Joseph vineyards are planted on steep granite slopes, benefiting from excellent sun exposure and drainage, which enhances the concentration and purity of the Marsanne and Roussanne grapes.

The 2023 Circa Saint Joseph Blanc is crafted from a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, harvested by hand and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak, followed by ageing on fine lees for 8-10 months to build texture and complexity. Aromas of white flowers, stone fruits and subtle honey lead to a mineral-driven and balanced palate. Pairs beautifully with grilled fish, creamy poultry dishes or mild cheeses.
