Famille Paquet Macon Nos Cinq Terroirs 2025

Famille Paquet is a family-run domaine in Davayé, in the heart of the Mâconnais. Founded in 1980 by Jocelyne and Michel Paquet, the estate is now managed by their three sons, who have expanded the vineyards to cover some of the region’s most interesting sites. Nos Cinq Terroirs brings together Chardonnay from five villages: Cruzille, Lugny, Prissé, Loché and La Roche-Vineuse. The vines range in age from relatively young plantings to old vines dating back to 1929, growing on predominantly clay-limestone soils. The family places great emphasis on organic farming and biodynamic principles, with careful attention given to each individual vineyard parcel. The 2025 vintage produced ripe, expressive fruit while retaining the freshness that makes Mâconnais Chardonnay so appealing.

Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged for six to seven months in tank, preserving the freshness and natural fruit character of the grapes. The result is a generous, rounded style with aromas of citrus, ripe orchard fruit and white flowers, alongside delicate hints of acacia honey and almond. The palate has good weight and structure, balanced by fresh acidity and a savoury finish. It is an excellent introduction to southern Burgundy Chardonnay, offering plenty of flavour without relying on oak. Enjoy as an aperitif or serve with scallops, shellfish, grilled fish, roast chicken or creamy pasta.
