Estate Argyros Santorini Assyrtiko 2022 is a dry white wine from Estate Argyros, one of the most respected wineries on the island of Santorini in Greece. The estate was founded in 1903 and remains family owned, with vineyards planted on the island’s iconic volcanic soils and trained in the traditional basket style to protect vines from wind and drought. Many of the ungrafted vines are over 70 years old, producing concentrated fruit with vibrant acidity.
The 2022 vintage is made from 100% Assyrtiko, vinified to preserve freshness and pure varietal character, with fermentation and ageing chiefly in stainless steel tanks and a period on fine lees with regular batonnage to build texture. Pale straw in colour, it shows intense citrus, lemon and green apple aromas with pronounced minerality and saline notes typical of Santorini terroir, balanced by crisp acidity and a long finish. Serve well chilled at around 10–12?°C with oysters, grilled fish, seafood, poultry or light Mediterranean dishes.
