Edoardo Miroglio Soli Pinot Noir 2022
Produced by Edoardo Miroglio in the Thracian Valley of Bulgaria, Soli Pinot Noir is an elegant expression of one of the world’s most demanding grape varieties from one of the country’s most respected modern wineries. Founded in 2002 by Italian entrepreneur Edoardo Miroglio, the estate has played a pioneering role in Bulgaria’s contemporary wine scene, combining Italian winemaking influence with the unique potential of local terroir. Located near the village of Elenovo in the Thracian Lowland, the vineyards benefit from a continental climate, long sunny days and cooling influences from the nearby Balkan Mountains. These conditions, together with carefully selected vineyard sites and well-drained soils, allow Pinot Noir to ripen slowly while maintaining the freshness, elegance and aromatic complexity that define the variety.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this wine showcases the finesse and purity that this grape can achieve in Bulgaria’s Thracian Valley. The Soli range represents a selection of carefully chosen vineyard parcels, focusing on wines that express the character of their individual sites. The wine displays elegant aromas of sour cherry, cranberry and wild raspberry, complemented by notes of violets, subtle spice, dried herbs and a delicate earthy complexity. On the palate, it is refined and beautifully balanced, with vibrant acidity, silky tannins and a graceful, savoury finish. A sophisticated and versatile Pinot Noir, Soli reflects Edoardo Miroglio’s commitment to producing distinctive, terroir-driven wines that showcase the growing quality and potential of Bulgarian viticulture.
