Dorli Muhr Ried Spitzerberg Roterd 1OTW 2021

Weingut Dorli Muhr is a boutique estate in Austria’s Carnuntum, fully organic since 2018. Located on the Spitzerberg’s western slope, the Obere Roterd vineyard (210–240 m elevation) features sandy limestone soils and old Blaufränkisch vines (1965–2004 plantings). Dorli’s sustainable, low-intervention viticulture reflects deep terroir respect.

The Blaufränkisch grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with wild yeasts in open-top vats, including foot-stomping and zero pump-overs. After gentle extraction, it matures for 20 months in large, used oak casks and is bottled unfiltered. Expect elegant nuances of sour cherry, floral spice, silky tannins and mineral freshness. Perfect with roast duck, venison, mushroom risotto or aged hard cheeses.
