Domaine des Chaffangeons Fleurie 2022 Half Bottle

Domaine des Chaffangeons is a small family estate in the Fleurie appellation of Beaujolais, where Gamay has been cultivated for generations. The domaine follows a sustainable, organic approach to vineyard management, using lutte raisonnée principles with careful reduction of chemical treatments and a focus on soil health. Work in the vineyards is largely manual, with grass cover maintained between rows to encourage biodiversity. Fleurie’s vineyards sit on pink granite and sandy soils at higher elevations, contributing to elegance, floral lift and fine tannic structure in the wines.

Domaine des Chaffangeons Fleurie 2022 is made from Gamay grapes, harvested by hand from hillside parcels. Fermentation is carried out using traditional semi carbonic maceration to enhance purity of fruit and aromatic intensity, followed by maturation in stainless steel and concrete for around 6 to 8 months to preserve freshness. The wine is light and expressive with notes of red cherry, raspberry and violet, supported by supple tannins and bright acidity. It pairs beautifully with charcuterie, roast chicken, grilled sausages and soft cheeses.
