Domaine de la Begude Bandol Rose 2022

Domaine de la Bégude Bandol Rosé 2022 is produced in the AOP Bandol appellation in Provence, France, one of the most respected rosé regions, with vineyards perched around 400 m above sea level on clay limestone and marl soils that retain coolness and reflect the Mediterranean breezes. Bandol’s terroir encourages slow, balanced ripening and distinctive minerality in the wines. The wine is organic.

The 2022 rosé is a blend of 80% Mourvèdre, 5% Grenache and 15% Cinsault, grown on steep terraces, destemmed and slow ressed at low pressure with fermentation by natural yeasts followed by ageing on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. This yields a pale coral ink wine with vibrant red berry and citrus aromas, refreshing acidity and a savoury, saline finish typical of Bandol. It pairs with grilled fish and light Mediterranean cuisine.
