Domaine Bel Avenir Saint Amour La Gagere 2022

Domaine Bel Avenir is a family-run estate in La Chapelle-de-Guinchay in Beaujolais, producing wines from traditional vineyards in the Saint-Amour cru, the northernmost appellation of the region. The La Gagère parcel lies on gently sloping hills with granite-based soils mixed with clay and sand, providing freshness, perfume and finesse. The vineyards are hand harvested and carefully managed to express the character of this historic terroir.

Saint-Amour La Gagère 2022 is made from 100% Gamay, fermented using traditional methods in tank to preserve bright fruit character, followed by around six to nine months ageing in tank before bottling. It shows aromas of red cherry, raspberry and violet, with a supple texture and soft tannins. Elegant and fresh, it pairs well with roast chicken, duck, charcuterie, grilled fish and mushroom dishes.
