Domaine Bel Avenir Coteaux Bourguignons 2024
Domaine Bel Avenir is a family estate in La Chapelle-de-Guinchay in southern Burgundy, producing wines from traditional Gamay vineyards averaging 50 years old. The Coteaux Bourguignons appellation spans the wider Burgundy region, and here the vines grow on south-east facing sandy silt soils that encourage aromatic freshness and finesse. The vineyards are hand harvested and carefully managed to preserve terroir expression and balance.
Made from 100% Gamay, the 2024 is fermented in temperature-controlled tanks for around six days, followed by malolactic conversion and ageing in tank to preserve fruit purity. It shows fresh aromas of strawberry, cherry and raspberry, with a supple palate, fine tannins and bright acidity. Ideal with charcuterie, poultry, grilled fish and vegetable dishes, it is intended for drinking young.
