Description
A family owned winery started in the 1970s, Casale dello Sparviero is as classic italian producer. Located in the Chanti region with goregous rolling hills that provide excellent quality grapes for every bottle. Although the winery was established in 1970, the vineyard itself dates back to the time of monk in 1100. The land these vines are grown on have been tilled and trated as a vineyard for most of history. The sparrowhawk featured on the label is a native staple of the area, nearly as historic as the vines themselves. The Gran Selezione is one of their flagship wines, grown from the oldest plot in the vineyard, giving this wine its honorable title of "Paronza".

This Tuscan Chianti is aged for over two years in French oak barrels, Slavonion oak barrels as well as aged in the bottle. Gaining its Paronza names from the hills of Castellina, its bears a strong structure and goregous ruby color. On the nose it holds notes of cherry and vanilla but on the palate is a dry tannin forward red with darker red fruits such as blackberries and some earthy sweet tobacco. An excellent pairing with aged cheeses or more red meat forward dishes.
