Cantine Birgi Trisole Nerello Mascalese 2021

Catine Birgi is a goregous winery in Marsala Italy. Located off the western coast of Sicily, the evironment provides a consistent mediterrean climate creating some of the most delectable wines. With over 2,500 hectares of land to grown on and 60+ year old vines, the creators of Trisole Nerello have mastered their craft. Each bundle of grapes is hand cut and placed in specialized transport carriers to ensure that the quality of grapes remains throught the entire process. This winery also prides themselves in being sustainably certified under the SOStain Sicilia viticulture program. Catine Birgi is a truly exceptional blend between tradtional practices and modern technological advances.

This Nerello Mascalese is a medium bodied red with a slighty higher acidity. On the nose it gives aromas of sour cherries and darker fruits with light earthy notes. On the palate the acidity is refreshing and paired with flavors of strawberry and blackberry with base flavors of herbs such as thyme. Well paired with grilled dishes and charcuterie.
