Bruna Grimaldi is a family-run winery located in Grinzane Cavour, within the Barolo DOCG region of Piedmont, Italy. Established in the 1990s, the estate focuses on producing high quality Barolo wines from its prestigious vineyards, including the Badarina cru. The vineyards are situated in the La Morra subzone at 350-400 metres above sea level with south-southwest exposure, on clay-limestone soils rich in marl and sandstone. The estate practices sustainable viticulture, though it is not officially certified organic or biodynamic.

The 2020 Barolo Badarina Vigna Regnola is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the Vigna Regnola vineyard, one of the sixty officially recognised vineyards in the Barolo DOCG. The grapes undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts and are aged for 24 months in French oak barrels. The wine offers aromas of red cherry, rose petal, hints of tobacco and forest floor. On the palate, it is structured with firm tannins and a long finish. This Barolo pairs well with rich dishes such as braised beef, truffle risotto or aged cheeses.
