Winnica Kamil Barczentewicz is a family-owned estate in the Lublin region of eastern Poland, cultivating vineyards on south-west facing slopes at 130–200m above sea level, approximately 3km from the Vistula River. The soils are predominantly limestone-marl with clay on the hilltops, providing excellent drainage and contributing to freshness and minerality in the wines. The estate has practised ecological viticulture from the beginning, avoiding synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, with formal organic certification initiated in 2024.

The 2022 Dobre Modre is made from 100% Blaufränkisch, hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously in a combination of stainless steel tanks and wooden vats. Two-thirds of the wine matured in used barrique barrels, while the remainder stayed in stainless steel. After blending, the wine was aged for over six months in steel to ensure integration and balance. Medium-bodied, it shows aromas of forest fruits, black pepper, autumn leaves and subtle herbal notes, with bright acidity and a fresh, juicy character. Ideal with beef, venison, lamb, wild mushroom tartare, peppered red wine sauces, eggplant, lentils or red leaf salad.
