Maison Roche de Bellene, established in 2008 by winemaker Nicolas Potel, is a Burgundy-based estate committed to producing wines that reflect the unique terroirs of the region. The estate works with growers practising organic and sustainable viticulture, focusing on old-vine parcels to enhance the expression of the land. The Coteaux Bourguignons appellation, a relatively recent addition to Burgundy's wine classifications and encompasses a diverse range of terroirs.

The 2023 Coteaux Bourguignon Chardonnay is crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from clay-limestone soils, contributing to the wine's complexity and freshness. The grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by eight months of aging on fine lees in used oak barrels with minimal oak influence. This method preserves the purity of fruit while adding subtle texture. Tasting notes include fresh floral aromas with citrus and white fruit notes, leading to a well-balanced, mineral palate and a persistent finish. This wine pairs beautifully with grilled fish, seafood or gourmet salads.
