Zuccardi Q Malbec 2024

Q Malbec is one of the wines that established the Zuccardi family’s reputation for combining Mendoza’s high-altitude vineyards with a strong sense of place. The wine draws on selected vineyards in the Uco Valley, particularly Paraje Altamira and Los Chacayes, where intense sunlight, cool nights and poor, stony soils help produce Malbec with concentration while retaining freshness. Altamira’s calcareous, gravelly soils and Los Chacayes’ sandy, stony terrain bring different dimensions to the final blend.

Made from 100% Malbec, the grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately before being blended for balance and complexity. Fermentation takes place in concrete using native yeasts, followed by ageing in concrete and used French oak, allowing the fruit and terroir to remain at the forefront. The wine combines vibrant red and dark fruit with violet, herbs and subtle spice, supported by juicy tannins, refreshing acidity and a savoury finish. A beautifully polished, versatile expression of modern Mendoza Malbec.
