Ziereisen Heugumber Gutedel 2021

Ziereisen is probably the only winery in Germany who can produce world-class wine from the Chasselas grape variety. The grapes are all harvested by hand, fermented in large wood and left on the lees for 18 months. Heugumber is the Alemannic term for grasshoppers and a very appropriate name for this wine that smells a bit like a freshly mown meadow. Subtle hints of green pear and hay, sunflower. In the mouth, racy and refreshing with greenish, juicy fruit.
