Ziereisen Grauerburgunder 2021

The grapes for this Pinot Gris are picked and sorted by hand. This is followed by spontaneous fermentation in large traditional wooden barrels, completely fermented to minimal residual sugar. The wine remains on its lees in the barrel for 18 months before bottling. Green pear, melon and lemongrass, including very stony, flinty notes. Beautifully defined and with refreshing mineral undertones. There is also a subtle but fresh acidity that makes the wine juicy and easy to drink.
