Yves Cuilleron Condrieu 'Verlieu' 2022

From a single plot in Chavanay, planted in terraces on the hillside of Verlieu. The vines are planted on "Muscovite Granite" allowing nice complex aromatics. The grapes are picked at perfect ripeness and sorted by hand. Only the best press juices are kept. Alcoholic and malolactic fermented in barriques with native yeasts. It matures for 12 months in barrel and medium sized wooden casks. Expressive nose with flavours of white flowers and ripe, fleshy yellow fruits. Mouth coating, the richness provided by the soil is surrounded by the aromatic power of Viognier. Beautifully textured, a very vibrant, mineral finish reinforces the length. Drink on the fruit flavours (on the first 4 years), but can be aged up to 10 years.
