Wagner-Stempel RosĂ© 2023 is a dry organic rosĂ© from Weingut Wagner-Stempel in Rheinhessen, Germany, where organic certification (DE-ĂKO-022) and sustainable vineyard management are standard practice. The family-run estate, based in Siefersheim and a member of the VDP, farms vineyards planted on mixed sandy clay and porphyry-rich volcanic soils. All grapes are organically grown and hand harvested. The 2023 RosĂ© is a blend of Pinot Noir (SpĂ€tburgunder), St. Laurent and FrĂŒhburgunder, harvested early to retain freshness and natural acidity. Following gentle pressing, fermentation and ageing take place entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with no barrel ageing, and a short period on fine lees to enhance texture. Pale salmon in colour, the wine shows aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and wild strawberry, with crisp acidity and a subtle mineral edge.
