Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc II 2023

Von Winning is a quality-focused estate in Deidesheim, Pfalz, working with practising-organic and sustainable viticulture.The Sauvignon Blanc II grapes come from distinct vineyards: Paradiesgarten with its red sandstone soils giving freshness, Herrgottsacker with sandy loam contributing aromatic lift, and Kallstadter Steinacker with loess and basalt providing depth and structure. Pfalz is Germany’s second-largest wine region and lies along the Haardt mountains which is a continuation of the Vosges Moutains that provid shelter and abundant sunshine. This warm yet balanced climate enables long ripening, ensuring wines with both ripe fruit and fine acidity.

Vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity. The fermentation is slow and temperature-controlled, ensuring vibrant aromatics without any oak influence. This Sauvignon-Blanc shows gooseberry, passion fruit, grapefruit and fresh herbs, balanced by lively acidity and a clean, mineral finish. Brilliant as an aperitif and with oysters, shellfish, asparagus, herbed salads or soft goat’s cheese.
