Directly below the Palatinate Forest, on red sandstone soils, lies one of the coolest vineyard sites, the Deidesheimer Paradiesgarten. In warmer years, the Rieslings here display a touch more juicy exoticism, while in cooler years, fresh citrus notes with herbal undertones predominate. Without a doubt, the Paradiesgarten is always chic and elegant, with bright fruit and fine acidity, underpinned by a subtle hint of salinity. A terroir wine with a distinct character.
