This northernmost vineyard in Deidesheim borders the Forster Ungeheuer vineyard. Within this vineyard, the soils exhibit diverse structures: variegated sandstone, sandy loam, limestone gravel, and basalt vary depending on the specific location of the parcel. The Herrgottsacker combines the delicate fruity elegance and cool spice of the Deidesheim with the expresiveness of Forst. Aging on the less in large double-piece casks lends it a subtle creaminess and brings out the white fruit and floral notes. Fresh, tart citrus aromas and a firm yet ripe acidity make this Riesling a fine companion for many occassions.
