Vilagi Traditional Method Riesling NV

The region of Pohronie, Slovakia has a deep medival wine history, providing wines so rich in taste its rumored on the kings at the time had outlawed its importing as the wines quality was so far above the larger towns at the time. Vilagi is nestled between three rivers on sun soaked slopes, providing a climate perfect for growing these grapes varieties. The volanic soil present in the hills gives the grapes a rich minerality adding a rich texture to every wine. Using organic cultivation methods these wines are then aged in oak barrels made from wood from the Carpathian Basin, ensuring the notes of Vilagi are present in each bottle.

This elegant sparkling wine with gentle sparkling bubbles perfectly reflects the noble Riesling variety that it comes from. It is prepared in a traditional way of culturing followed by twelve months of fermentation. In each mineral and delicately sparkling sip you’ll discover a rich acid structure, a dazzling aroma of citrus and pear flowers; you’ll also appreciate the refreshing and long aftertaste. Its colour is radiantly yellow with tints of green.
