Vida Peter Losz 2017
Vida Péter is a modern, family-run producer from Szekszárd, Hungary, celebrated for expressive reds that reflect local loess soils. The estate focuses on low-intervention, terroir-driven viticulture across south-facing loess and clay slopes, promoting biodiversity and careful canopy work.
Losz 2017 is a structured blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with touches of Merlot, Syrah and Kekfankos. Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with controlled maceration and matured about 24 months in 300–500 litre oak barrels. Expect ripe cherry and cassis, spice, leather and subtle smoke, supple tannins and a long finish; pairs well with roast lamb, venison, charcuterie and mature cheeses.
