Produced in France’s Loire Valley, Tuffeau Rosé is a traditional method sparkling wine that captures the freshness and charm of the region’s cool-climate vineyards. Named after the Loire’s distinctive tuffeau limestone, the wine reflects the influence of the chalky soils that contribute finesse, brightness and mineral precision. The vineyards benefit from a temperate climate that allows grapes to ripen gradually while retaining vibrant natural acidity, making them particularly well suited to sparkling wine production. Crafted using the traditional method and bottled as a Brut, the wine balances fruit expression with freshness and elegance, creating a refined and highly drinkable style.
Made from 100% Gamay, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle followed by lees ageing to develop texture and complexity. Aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant are complemented by hints of rose petal, citrus zest and freshly baked brioche. The palate is lively and refreshing, combining bright red berry fruit with a fine persistent mousse and crisp acidity. The Brut dosage brings balance and roundness without masking the wine’s freshness, while a subtle chalky minerality carries through to the finish. Vibrant and versatile, it pairs beautifully with charcuterie, smoked salmon, grilled prawns and light summer dishes.
