Description

Tenuta delle Terre Nere was founded in 2002 by Marco de Grazia and is one of the leading estates on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. The vineyards, certified organic since 2010, are farmed with a strong focus on sustainability and site expression. Located between around 600 and 900 metres altitude near Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia, the vines grow in sandy, stony volcanic soils rich in minerals, giving wines freshness, tension and distinctive mineral character.

Etna Rosato 2024 is produced primarily from Nerello Mascalese, occasionally with a small proportion of Nerello Cappuccio. Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, with only a very short maceration of a few hours in the press to extract its delicate pale colour. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at low temperatures, followed by a brief period of ageing in tank before bottling. The wine shows notes of wild strawberry, cherry, citrus and herbs, with bright acidity and a lightly savoury finish, pairing well with seafood, salads, light pasta dishes and white meats.
