Simon Bize Savigny les Beaune Rouge 2020 Half Bottle
Domaine Simon Bize is an historic family estate in the Savigny-lès-Beaune appellation of Burgundy, established in the late 19th century and guided through decades by generations of the Bize family. Today the domaine farms more than 20 hectares of vineyards across Savigny, Aloxe-Corton and neighbouring appellations.
The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Rouge is made from 100% Pinot Noir, hand-harvested from vineyards planted between the mid-1960s and late 1970s on moderately deep white clay-limestone soils. Fermentation is traditional with gentle extraction, and the wine is aged in oak barrels, contributing structure and complexity while preserving elegant fruit purity. Medium-bodied and refined, it offers aromas of cherry, raspberry, subtle spice and floral notes with soft, supple tannins and bright acidity. It pairs beautifully with roast poultry, mushroom risotto, fine charcuterie and soft cheeses, showcasing classic Burgundy finesse and balance.
