The wine is produced by Róisín Curley, an Irish Master of Wine who launched her micro-négociant project in Burgundy. She sources small parcels of grapes from growers who mostly farm organically. Her approach is low intervention, minimal additions, careful sorting and gentle handling allowing the character of the terroir to shine through. The grapes for this Bouzeron come from Burgundy’s only appellation devoted to the native white variety Aligoté, from modest vineyards tended by growers committed to sustainable viticulture.

The 2023 Bouzeron is 100% Aligoté. The wine is crafted with a subtle and restrained winemaking approach, fermentation in neutral vessels, light handling, little or no new oak, to preserve freshness and reflect terroir. Expect crisp citrus, green apple and white flower aromas, with a lean, mineral driven palate and lively acidity. This wine suits well chilled seafood such as oysters or scallops, shellfish, trout, or fresh goat cheese. Simple, pure dishes that echo the wine’s clarity and finesse.
