Roisin Curley Bourgogne Rouge 2023
This red is from Róisín Curley’s micro-négociant project in Burgundy. The grapes are 100% Pinot Noir and are sourced from small growers who tend their vineyards organically or with minimal intervention. Róisín works closely with the growers and has control over grape selection, fermentation and ageing to reflect the Burgundian terroir with purity and elegance.
The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge undergoes partially whole cluster fermentation (around 30%) and is handled with a light touch vinification style, often in neutral or used vessels. The result is a bright, graceful Pinot noir with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and subtle earthy notes, with fine tannins and a fresh, supple finish. Serve slightly chilled around 16°C and pair with seared duck breast, roast chicken or turkey, charcuterie, mushroom risotto or other mushroom based dishes.
