Proprieta Sperino Rosa del Rosa 2023

Proprietà Sperino’s Rosa del Rosa 2023 comes from a small family-run estate in Lessona, northern Piemonte, revived by Paolo De Marchi and his son Luca to restore traditional vineyards and wines of the Alto Piemonte. The grapes for this rosé are sourced from multiple hillside sites including Ormeggio, Castagnola, Belvedere and the old Madonna degli Angeli vineyard with vines up to 90 years old, planted on marine sands and mineral-rich igneous soils that give northern Piedmont its distinctive acidity and minerality.

The 2023 Rosa del Rosa Piemonte Rosato DOC is a blend of 90% Nebbiolo and 10% Vespolina, harvested and gently pressed with a brief skin contact, followed by fermentation and around six months ageing on fine lees in stainless steel to build texture without oak influence. It displays a brilliant copper-rose hue with intense aromas of blood orange, rosehip, mulberry and a hint of spice, complemented by an elegant, mineral-driven palate with lively acidity and a saline finish. Serve gently chilled with antipasti, grilled fish, light meats, salads, pizza and fresh cheeses.
