Produttori del Barbaresco is one of Piedmont's most respected wine cooperatives, founded in 1958 to preserve and showcase the individuality of Barbaresco's greatest crus. Today, more than 50 families farm the vineyards using sustainable viticultural practices that respect both tradition and the environment. The Asili cru is regarded as one of the appellation's finest and most elegant vineyard sites, occupying a natural amphitheatre with predominantly south and south west facing slopes between 230 and 290 metres above sea level. Its calcareous marl and limestone rich clay soils, combined with excellent sun exposure, consistently produce Nebbiolo of remarkable perfume, finesse and longevity.

Produttori del Barbaresco Riserva Asili 2021 is made from 100% Nebbiolo grown exclusively in the prestigious Asili cru. Following fermentation in stainless steel with extended skin contact, the wine matures for 36 months in large oak casks before further bottle ageing prior to release. Refined and expressive, it reveals aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, rose petals and violet, layered with notes of liquorice, sweet spice and subtle balsamic herbs. The palate is elegant and beautifully poised, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a persistent mineral finish. It pairs wonderfully with roast veal, duck, truffle dishes, mushroom risotto and mature hard cheeses.
