Ponte Pietra Pinot Grigio Rose 2024

Ponte Pietra Pinot Grigio Rosato 2024 is produced under the Ponte Pietra label by winemaker Matt Thomson of Blank Canvas at Cantina di Monteforte in the Veneto region of Italy. The name evokes Verona’s historic stone bridge, reflecting the deep wine heritage of the area. The grapes are grown on the east hillside of the upper Val d’Alpone at 40–200 metres above sea level, on volcanic-origin soils, with vines aged 10–25 years trained in the traditional pergola veronese system.

The 2024 rosato is made from 100% Pinot Grigio, harvested early to preserve bright acidity. The juice undergoes approximately 18 hours of skin contact to achieve its pale salmon colour, followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel with no oak ageing. It is bottled young to retain freshness. The wine shows notes of strawberry and cherry, a lightly savoury palate and a crisp, refreshing finish. Ideal with seafood, salads, light pasta dishes, fresh cheeses, or enjoyed as an aperitif.
