Pizzorno Tannat Reserva 2020

Tannat is the flagship grape of Uruguay, having its roots in Madiran, France. Here, in the region of Canelones, Tannat achieves perfect tannic maturity, thanks to fertile soils rich in clay and the moderate Atlantic weather. The Reserve Tannat was aged for 18 months in a mixed of new and used French oak. Expect elegant aromas of cedar and tobacco, with some dark chocolate notes and dark fruits like plums and blackberries. A full-bodied yet fresh wine - the combination of tannic structure with high acidity makes this wine the quintessential companion to any "Asado", the traditional wood-fired barbecue of Uruguay.
