Pizzolato Settimo Podere Merlot 2024

Pizzolato Settimo Podere is part of La Cantina Pizzolato, a historic family winery in the Veneto region of northern Italy with more than five generations of agricultural tradition. The vineyards lie on the rolling plains and gentle hills near the Piave River, planted on pebbly, mineral rich soils that reflect this fertile terroir. The estate is certified organic, practicing sustainable viticulture with attention to biodiversity and low intervention farming, and the wines are vegan friendly.

The 2024 Merlot is 100% Merlot, organically grown and fermented with selected yeasts at controlled temperatures to preserve purity and fruit expression. It is gently matured on fine lees to build harmony and softness without heavy oak influence. It shows a deep ruby hue with delicate red berry aromas and a smooth, harmonious palate with supple tannins. This approachable red pairs well with pasta, charcuterie, grilled lamb and roasted vegetables, offering everyday versatility and balanced structure.
