Pine Ridge Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Pine Ridge Vineyards, founded in 1978 by Gary Andrus, is a benchmark producer in Napa Valley renowned for its dedication to Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate farms 160 hectares across five prestigious sub-appellations: Stags Leap District, Rutherford, Oakville, Howell Mountain and Carneros. Each site contributes unique terroir expression, from the volcanic soils of Howell Mountain to the alluvial gravels of Oakville. Pine Ridge operates under Napa Green certification, employing sustainable and biodiversity-focused practices to preserve soil vitality and water resources.

The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 draws fruit from these varied sites, blended to capture depth and balance. The wine was fermented in small lots before ageing for 16-18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels (a notable portion in new French oak). The result is a layered wine with aromas of blackberry, cassis, cedar and vanilla, framed by supple tannins and refined acidity. Perfect alongside roast beef, venison or aged cheeses.
