Niepoort Colheita Branco 2012

Niepoort is a historic Portuguese wine house, founded in 1842, renowned for both Port and Douro table wines. The estate sources grapes from small, sustainable vineyards across the Douro Valley, working closely with growers. The Colheita Branco is produced from traditional white Douro varieties on schist soils, imparting minerality and complexity. The wines are vegan-friendly, as no animal products are used in fining.

The Colheita Branco 2012 was fermented and then aged in seasoned oak casks for over a decade, following the traditional method of Tawny Ports, before being bottled in 2025. It displays aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, honey and toasted nuts, with a rich, silky palate balanced by fresh acidity and a long, nutty finish. It pairs beautifully with blue cheeses, foie gras, almond-based desserts, or as a contemplative sipping wine on its own.
