Mount Pleasant Cellar Aged Semillon Elizabeth 2018

Mount Pleasant is one of Australia’s most historic wine estates, founded in 1921 in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales by legendary winemaker Maurice O’Shea. The Cellar Aged Elizabeth Semillon is sourced exclusively from the Lovedale Vineyard, planted on free-draining sandy loam soils in a warm climate with cool evenings.

The Mount Pleasant Cellar Aged Semillon Elizabeth 2018 is 100% Semillon, picked early to retain bright natural acidity and aged for around five years in bottle before release to allow complexity to develop. Now showing refined aromas of fresh lemon and lime with hints of honeyed hay and vanilla, the palate is bright, pure and seamless with vibrant acidity. Serve chilled with shellfish, crab, delicate fish dishes or creamy poultry for a refined match. This wine will continue to deliver more complex aromas and flavours for the next 15 years.
