Monte Dall‘Ora Camporenzo Valpolicella Classico 2022

Monte Dall’Ora is a family run estate in San Pietro in Cariano, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, where Carlo Venturini and Alessandra Zantedeschi farm their vineyards according to biodynamic principles. Camporenzo is a hillside vineyard around 70-100 metres above sea level, planted on south-eastern slopes over Eocene limestone and calcarenite. The warm, sheltered climate is moderated by the nearby hills, while the calcareous soils and careful farming help produce Valpolicella of freshness, savoury character and mineral definition.

Monte Dall’Ora Camporenzo Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2022 is a blend of 50% Corvina, 30% Corvinone and 20% Rondinella. The grapes are hand harvested and gently destemmed before spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and unglazed concrete tanks. After around a week of maceration, the wine is aged in oak before further bottle maturation. Vibrant aromas of ripe cherry and black cherry are joined by violet, rosemary, mint and delicate spice. Fresh, savoury and finely tannic, it has excellent energy and a clean, persistent finish. Enjoy with pasta and risotto with meat sauces, roast pork, poultry, grilled meats, game and mature cheeses.
