Miraval Côtes de Provence 2024 comes from Château Miraval, a historic estate in Correns in the Var, Provence, acquired in 2008 by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and developed in partnership with the renowned Famille Perrin of Château de Beaucastel. The vineyards are farmed organically and Correns is recognised as France’s first fully organic village, with clay-limestone soils on dry-stone terraces at around 350 m altitude giving excellent drainage and fresh night-time cooling in its Mediterranean climate.

The 2024 rosé is a classic Côtes de Provence blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle and Syrah, with grapes picked early in the morning and gently pressed; Syrah is often vinified via saignée while the other varieties are direct-pressed. Fermentation is predominantly in temperature-controlled stainless steel with a small portion in barrel and ageing on fine lees to enhance texture; there is no long barrel ageing. The wine shows a pale pink colour with bright red berry and citrus aromas, refreshing acidity and a saline mineral finish typical of Provence rosé. It pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, Mediterranean salad and light poultry dishes.
