Michel Lafarge Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1r Cru 2022

Domaine Michel Lafarge is a family-owned estate based in Volnay, Burgundy, practising biodynamic viticulture since the late 1990s and now certified organic. Their Beaune Clos des Aigrots Premier Cru vineyard, spanning 0.66 ha across high-elevation parcels, features vines dating back to 1949 and benefits from warm summers and limestone-rich soils for elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir.

Clos des Aigrots 2021 is grown using biodynamic practices. The Pinot Noir grapes are hand-harvested and fully destemmed. Naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged (typically 5–25% new oak) in the estate’s 13th-century cellars in large oak barrels for 15–20 months. It shows bright red cherry, raspberry and floral notes layered with minerality. Fine tannins and lively acidity pair beautifully with roast duck, game birds or wild mushroom dishes.
